Continuous Professional Development

As with any profession, graduating and becoming a member of an organisation does not mean you are finished.  These are four suggestions we put forward for your continuous development.

 Coaching Supervision:

Coaching supervision is when a more experienced coach acts as a coach for an upcoming coach.  There are trained coaching supervisors available from each of the coaching bodies who will provide this service.
2.
Networking with other coaches:
3.
By building up a network of coaches you can learn from each others experiences and be made aware of methods and resources that can improve you skills.  Networks such as www.irishcoachingsolutions.ie can provide these resources in easy to reach formats.
Additional learning.
Always look for opportunities to increase your coaching skills. Take additional classes and attend seminars to improve your skills.
4.
Practice:
Find willing partners (friends or other coaches) who will let you practice your skills and give you honest feedback.
